The Buffalo Bills cut Tre’Davious White, one of the most talented cornerbacks hit the market. Fortunately for White, he didn’t have to be without a team for too long. The Los Angeles Rams moved to sign White, a former LSU standout, in a transaction that hit the white on Tuesday evening.
ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported the terms of the deal.
“Former Bills All-Pro CB Tre’Davious White intends to sign a one-year, $8.5 million deal with a max value up to $10 million with the Los Angeles Rams,” Schefter said. Schefter posted the news on X, the website formerly known as Twitter.
“More secondary help for the Rams,” Schefter said.
The Rams bolster their defense with this move to add White. White’s a talented cornerback who’s dealt with injury issues over the past few seasons. But he still stood out as a high-quality player when he was healthy. White was named a First Team All-Pro selection and led the NFL in interceptions during the 2019 season. In 2020, voters tabbed White on the All-Pro Second Team. He was voted to the Pro Bowl in each of those two seasons.
LA made the playoffs last season but fell to the Detroit Lions in the NFC Divisional Round. The Rams hope that this year will prove to be more successful. With an aging Matthew Stafford, the Rams will need to make good on that if they want to win another championship under head coach Sean McVay.
The NFL world had much to say about this signing.

Wish him nothing but the best, truly one of my favorite personalities to ever play for the Bills, shame he had those 2 injuries. He will be sorely missed in Buffalo. https://t.co/1OCiqMtaF6
