Colorado head coach Deion Sanders walks the field during warm ups as the Oregon Ducks host Colorado in the Pac-12 opener Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023, at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Ore.

Another day and another week of more off-season antics with Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes. This time the Buffs head coach has been accused of cheating by Colorado State-Pueblo head coach Philip Vigil.

Vigil accuses Sanders of player tampering by posting what appears to be a text conversation between one of his players and Colorado assistant director of player personnel Devin Rispress.

Vigil posted this on social media :

“Hey @NCAA and @Big12Conference, is this considered tampering, or is @Coach2Bless and @CUBuffsFootball able to recruit our current players like this?” Vigil wrote on X.

He has since taken the post down.

Rispress came out immediately and denied these texts as being true.

“Nice try y’all been catfished wrong guy, brother. You could’ve hit me up before tweeting this and embarrassing your program,” Rispress wrote in the comments.

Naturally, Sanders had to add his two cents to all of this.

“Your name means something so stop allowing simple people to get close enough to u to do simple things. A fool will ultimately do what he or she does best when opportunity present itself. Protect your name at all cost. Separate yourself NOW! Your name is all u have,” he wrote.

This is not the first time the Colorado head coach has been accused of cheating. Former Alabama head coach Nick Saban hinted that Sanders and former Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher were cheaters, setting off a firestorm between the three head coaches.

Later, Sanders and Saban would make up.
