One of the most prominent figures in National Football League history will continue to hang around the game. Legendary head coach Bill Belichick might be out of the coaching circle, but he won’t be away from the NFL. Belichick will join the cast of Inside the NFL, per an announcement Thursday.
Awful Announcing was among those who wrote about Belichick’s move to TV.
“Legendary NFL coach Bill Belichick is keeping busy in his first season away from coaching the 1970s. Belichick’s latest gig will be serving as an analyst on Inside the NFL in the show’s second season on The CW Network.
Belichick will join an impressive cast of retired NFL stars that includes longtime New England Patriots foe Ryan Clark and former Patriots Chad Johnson and Chris Long,” Brendon Kleen wrote.
Belichick’s move to TV isn’t wholly unsurprising. He’s shown he can talk football well and coherently to an audience. He’s appeared on ESPN and NFL Films productions before, so this likely won’t be too difficult a transition for the legendary head coach.
The NFL world had much to say over Belichick’s move to TV.
