The Las Vegas Raiders scored a massive upset on Christmas Day. Traveling to Kansas City, the Raiders shocked the rival Chiefs in a 20-14 victory. After the game, one thing was on everyone’s mind: The Raiders needed to make the move on Antonio Pierce.
After dumping Josh McDaniels during the season, the Raiders turned to the former NFL linebacker Pierce. He previously spent ten years in the league from 2001-2009, playing for Washington and the New York Giants, with whom he won Super Bowl XLII. Before arriving in Vegas, he worked on the Arizona State football staff under Herm Edwards.
Pierce has made a pretty tangible impact. The Raiders scored wins over the Chiefs and the rival Los Angeles Chargers in back-to-back weeks. Indianapolis and longtime rival Denver are still left on the schedule with an outside shot of winning the division in the air. All this for a team that didn’t even deploy a pass for a good chunk of the game against KC.
And so, plenty around the NFL world called for the Raiders to make the easy decision. And they probably should hire Pierce to be their next guy. It’s never easy to figure out how to work a coaching situation, but when it’s evident in the interim stage, you should make the easy move. In this case, the easy move isring the former Super Bowl Champion. Many agreed.
Antonio Pierce better get that job

Pierce himself became emotional after the big win.
This is easy, Raiders. Do the easy thing.
